Barnet Furniture Centre is a registered charity which brings multiple benefits to both the community and the environment. The Centre aims to:

• provide residents with good quality furniture at prices to suit all budgets
• prevent good quality furniture from being flytipped or going to landfill
• provide job opportunities and volunteering placements.

We operate both a warehouse shop and a collection service for unwanted, good quality furniture and homeware.

Three full-time jobs and more than 20 volunteer placements have been created by the Centre - including opportunities for people with disabilities and those who have been in long-term unemployment.

The project was made possible by funding from the London Community Resource Network, Barnet Homes and the Milly Apthorp Charitable Trust and is part of a network of recycling and reuse initiatives occurring across London.
